Megasutures
Megasutures include orogenic zones and associated sedimentary basins. During the formation of a megasuture, the compressional tectonic regimes associated with the subduction zones are predominant. Extensional tectonic regimes and development of sedimentary basins play, also, an important role.
A megasuture can be considered as a suture created by collision between :
Continent - Continent or Continent -Volcanic arc
with a more or less important mobilization more of the substratum granito-metamorphic.
