Deep Offshores Type 1

Atlantic-type divergent margins can overlain:

- Rift-type basin sediments ;

- Volcanic crust (sub-aerial, i.e., SDRs or oceanic crust) ;

- Sedimentary substratum (with or without petroleum interest) and  

- Basement.

Type Deep Offshore Type 2

Backarc and forearc basins, non Atlantic-type divergent margins, Californian-type and Mediterranean-type basins can develop above:

- Sedimentary substratum (with or without petroleum interest) ;

- Volcanic crust (oceanic or sub-aerial, i.e., lava-flows)  and

- Basement.
