In spite of the presence of several multiples in this Canvas autotrace, located not far from the Beira structural high (see Plate 29), the recognition lava-flows (SDRs) postdating the breakup unconformity is quite easy. In the Atlantic-Type divergent margin, i.e., above the breakup unconformity, en particularly, over the top of the lava-flows, the sedimentary transgressive and regressive phases are, easily, recognized by the internal configuration of their horizons. Indeed, the transgressive phases has an aggradational geometry, while the regressive phase is mainly progradational (shelf-continental slope) with a mounded structures (submarine slope fans) in the deeper part of the basins. The limit between these stratigraphic phases is marked by the Cenomanian-Turonian downlap surface (DS. 91.5 Ma).
