South Baffin Bay

Post breakup lava-flows with lava delta looking continentward are quite evident on this Canvas autotrace of a seismic line of south Baffin Bay. Such a vergence of the lava deltas suggest a more or less standing water-body between the sub-aerial expansion centers and the new individualized western lithospheric plate. The volcanic sector of the Atlantic-type divergent margin is fossilized, probably, by deep water sediments, taking into account internal the hummocky internal configuration of the upper seismic internal, in which gully-wing depositional structure are obvious.
